Ghee has a long history in Indian food traditions. People commonly add it to dal, khichdi, rice and other foods for flavour and texture. That culinary role is different from claiming that ghee treats a digestive disorder.
Why people associate ghee with digestion
Ghee makes food richer and can be used in small quantities to improve texture and flavour. Traditional dietary practices may also pair ghee with warm foods and grains. Individual tolerance, however, varies.
Can ghee cure constipation, acidity or IBS?
Dehati Ghee does not make those claims. Persistent constipation, reflux, abdominal pain, diarrhoea or other symptoms can have many causes and should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional.
A practical food-first approach
- Use ghee in a moderate amount if you enjoy it and tolerate it.
- Eat enough fibre from vegetables, fruits, pulses and whole grains.
- Drink adequate fluids according to your needs.
- Seek professional advice for persistent or severe symptoms.
